LIKE this picture/area very much Ian. Greetings Berend

In this location it is very hard to get a sense of scale: the boulders are big. The pools are a perfect place for swimming. Tucked away beneath the cliffs the sun doesn't shine directly here for most of the year.

Thanks for your affirmation, Berend, for my camera was very busy as I moved around here recording every angle, for I knew I was opening this special place up top the world.

It is a special place, from my point of view.

Warmest regards,

Ian

That stoneman is waiting to see if today is really the end of the world of the Mayan! I love this gorge, Ed. Thanks for your comment and visit.

Warm regards,

Ian

Hi Ian from the group A1-Unique Australia, wishing you all a happy 2013. An excellent location to have a rest for a tired bushwalkerL Regards Ebi

This area is almost unknown, Ebi, so the excitement kept me from feeling tired, and to get here we had already made 3 abseil descents so the adrenalin was pumping.

But if you are looking for a rest, before attempting the ascent out of the gorge - and that was heart-thumping stuff - then this is a perfect place to have the rest.

If you ever come my way, i'll take you bushwalking in some great country.

Ian
