At last I have reached the required age to be able to drive a car! ;-)

Thank you so much dear Suzi.

Thank you too Bonnie Lad.

And too dear Billy, I do love it.

Warmest wishes to you all from Shropshire, Amelia

I hope you're having a wonderful and special day, dearest Amelia - so what kind of car will you be driving? Did you find a place for the things you brought back from Norway? Shropshire will be pleased to have you back. Thank you, dear friends Mike and Billy, for joining in wishing our friend a happy special day - and many more. Along with our friends across the street, Bill and I enjoyed a visit to Shore Acres to see the holiday lights, then a lovely meal at their house. We saw a few snow flakes yesterday morning. It is cold and a bit wet today. Happy holiday hugs, dear one (O:

Just the usual old battered Volvo as usual dear Suzi. :)))

Another busy day of course, and now my birthday treat, as always, is putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it.

Pouring with rain here for the foreseeable future! I hope it gets brighter for the big day - then we can take James out on his new scooter, which Santa has assured me is being finished at this very moment by his industrious team of elves.

Happy holidays to you all, Amelia

Sounds great, not every teen gets to drive a Volvo, dearest Amelia - not in this country anyhoo! What a nice tree tradition! We don't have room for a tree in this house, and even if we did, the firebox heat would be very drying for it. I put up a little tabletop tree that I won as a door prize many years ago, which I added more lights to and found some mini decorations for. I miss having a fresh 6 foot Noble fir, putting on 2000 lights and seeing my lifetime collection of tree decorations, which are boxed and sit in the storage room downstairs, collecting dust. Can't have everything! It's a cold blustery and soon to be very wet day here as well, with no end in sight, as you say. So we stay cozy inside and watch the fire, the weather and the birds. Best warm happy wishes (O:
