A corner of Tanner's Brewery ~ Shrewsbury

This is a location in the 1984 version of 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens with George C Scott as Scrooge...the best version ever filmed in my opinion. My daughter and I went on an excellent guided tour of the filmed locations almost entirely filmed in Shrewsbury. Fezziwig's Ball took place in this lovely brewery building.

My daughter did the 'Christmas Carol' tour last year with her boyfriend and wanted to do it again. She knew I would enjoy it. There are so many beautiful buildings in the town, we didn't visit everything we wanted to in three days. Thanks for your like. Best wishes, Rosa.

Don't think I've seen that version Rosa, but if it's better than the Alastair Sim one it must be good. Like the till you don't see them like that anymore.

Thanks Andy. Have you been there? It's a beautiful old place.

It's even better than that version Ian! It's on DVD in most places. If you manage to see it, let me know what you think. Cheers, Rosa.
