I have been reading about the horrible train wreck that happened over there in Beijing on Monday. They said the train was going 81 mph, and should have been going only 55. Did it really jump the track? I'm so sorry to hear of the awful story. The news also said that construction has begun for an even faster train to run from Beijing to Shanghai, and it's suppose to run 200 mph. Good grief, that sounds so dangerous! We don't have a lot of trains still over here, but I'm not really sure why. Maybe it's just in our area that there are not many. I'm not sure.

Anyway, I wanted to thank you for your visit, and I hope you are doing very well.

My daughter lives in the dormitory of school. She cames back once every two weeks. She often helps me translate the letters that I wrote to you into English. Basically, I can understand what you write. But I can’t express myself freely in English. Because I haven’t used English for a long time. Grammer and tense are so strange for me that I can’t use them correctly.

My daughter’s name is Wang Zhen(王真). Wang(王) is our family name. Zhen is her first name. Her name was given by me. Because I hope she will be true(真实),sincere(真诚)and earnest(认真). She is fourteen years old now. Indeed, she is enjoying her life with earnest manner. It makes me very happy and I’m very proud of her.

As for the traffic accident, I have consulted the official reports. That railway was built several tens of years ago. The speed is 80km/h in design. Because the train was late, the train reached the speed of 131km/h. When the train turned in a curve, the tail of the train jumped the rails because of the centrifugal force. At that time, another train on the opposite crashed into it inevitably. About seventy people lost their lives in the accident and more than foue hundred people were hurt. I felt very sorry for them. What I can do is to pray for them. I hope the injured will get well soon.
