The flag was added to the Vehicle Assembly Building in 1976, along with the Bicentennial emblem (together requiring 6000 gallons of paint). It measures 209 feet by 110 feet. The star field alone is the size of a professional basketball court. Each stripe is as wide as a lane of traffic.

¡Sí, es grande! Es la bandera más grande representada jamás, y NASA tuvo que consultar con el ejército para ser cierto fue perfecto antes de pintarlo. (¿Es correcto, jamás? The largest ever.)
