Thankyou Michael. This area is part of a large scheme reclaiming derelict land and spoil tips left over from Lancashire's coal mining history. Thousands of trees have been planted and the area is being managed in a way that will attract wildlife. Although it will be many years before the trees reach maturity we are already seeing the benefits.
