Common Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus)

Small photos are not selected for Google Earth or Google Maps [?]

This is the lakeside place of the friendly Robin ~ where I have hund fat seed balls in a wire holder, nuts in a wire holder and bird grain in a plastic tube and access holes. The Robin has learnt to use all three ~ now his neighbours the Blue Tits gather round to get some too. There are several pairs and Mr Robin is none too pleased ~ but can't fight them all off :~) For me ~ I'm trying to learn how to take shots of birds and I'm not finding it easy. The Blue Tits for example hardly ever stay still for longer than a second or two.

Sarah O ~ Hi again Sarah Well this is the nearest I get to nut cake for the birdies :~))) Not having a very long zoom for my D700 I have to find a way of tempting the birds a little closer so as I have half a chance of capturing more than a little blob somewhere in the shot :))) Also of course it was payback to the friendly little Robin that originally came up so close to me without any food being on offer at all :)) So ~ I'm really pleased that you love my bird page and many thanks for the YSL. So a final New Year wish to you and then back to reality ~ hugs ~ nick

I've enjoyed your lovely birds series, dear Sir Nick - you get some very colorful winter visitors, and it looks like you treat them very well indeed. We've been enjoying several days/nights of brilliant cloudless skies. Happy hugs (O:

Suzi in Oregon, ~ It is time for bed for me dearestLTM so many thanks for your kind comments. Blue Tits and Robins stay with us all year round, but of course get very hungry through the winter months. Lots of us feed the birds and no doubt it is much the same all over the world where crumbs can bee spared. Glad to read you have enjoyed blue skies ~ Hugs ~ nick
