"Wad'ya want ?"

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This was part of a twenty strong herd which had been watching me set up my camera and tripod for ages! My quest was to film a wide panorama..Eventually, most of the herd mooooved through a gap in the fence leaving this trio to stare me out. I made friends with them and decided to make them the subject of my interest..and this is the result..

It appears that Holstein/Friesian cattle are one and the same..I'm no expert but if you click on the link you can decide for yourselves!

Beautiful shot indeed!

I always like their kind eyes. My brother had some of them when my childhood and I named all of them. One of them was "Haniko" and she used to know my voice as soon as I called her she came to me and looked for something to eat!

My humble apologies for such a belated response guys

Səməd~~~~The cattle thrive well on the abundant growth of lush grass, especially during the wet summer months..we rarely suffer long periods of drought, but then our weather can be so unpredictable. Thanks for your kind revue!

guizel~~~~Many thanks for your appreciation JC

&ri.co~~~Taking the shot was such fun since the cows were very inquisitive and got uncomfortably close to my camera at times.

Nick Weall~~~~I look back to that time with much fondness dear Nick, Pano seemed to be much more fun at that time..I chuckled until my sides ached some nights!

Sigh the Merciless~~~~Thanks Si :) I revisited this photo many weeks after we edited this in Lightroom and realised then how much I really liked it..

varkos~~~Your'e most welcome, thank you!

Sue Allen~~~~What a lovely surprise to find you here dear Sue..Like Nick above, I shall never forget those heady days (and nights_) when Panoramio was much more than a photo sharing site..perhaps we over-egged it at the time but it was a hoot for sure..I'll be dropping in soon----special hugs sent your way!

elida-~~~~I'm most grateful for your lovely comment Elida :)

Sababoy~~~~~It's good to see you here Sababoy :) I'm glad that this photo brought back your childhood memories...I grew up in a small town with few farms near by...for me, such creatures were the stuff of fairy tails and children's rhymes...I think these are such gentle animals to whom we humans owe a great debt of gratitude :) Special thanks for the YSL _Sababoy :)

Zlatan Olić~~~~~My gratitude for your generous evaluation Zlatan :)
