Could you please translate in english the name of the river ? In greek it is called Erythropotamos, that means Red river. Downwards from the point you have located the photo there must be a village called Mandrica - this was the village of my great-grandfathers.

Because of your post, I learned about Kapitan Petko Kyriakov Kaloyianov Voyvoda. A burgarian hero from Aisimi, who studied in the military school of Athens and fought for the liberation of Creta - cool !
