Dinninup seems like it needs a few tumbleweeds blowing accross the street now... Fab finds however.. :)

Bit of paint and they could start trading in the morning! Love it Caroline! Sorry I've been missing in action the past month. Bit on here. Happy New Year to you. cheers Gary

Great to hear from you Gary, was worrying about you over there in lovely Tassie. Bushfires are something we West Aussies can totally empathize with...kindest regards Caroline

Love it, the perspective adds to the grandeur. I wonder where the owner are now, and what stories they could tell.

InTheBush on January 16, 2013

One day Michael, you will be finished and then you can go exploring again!!!

Hi PhilipS, I would like to hear some of the stories too :-) I did read in the National Library of Australia archives (TROVE) that the store owner was called to assist in 1946 when his neighbour shot and killed his wife. Very sad story.

And here is a reference to something that C E Smith, the Store holder and Postmaster in 1949, was selling

WAKE UP TO FITNESS Bad elimination is the cause of un- told miseries. A dally dose of R.U.R. on rising revitalises the whole system. Get the NEW 2/- "Ready-to-Take" packet today from Stockist: C. E. SMITH, DINNINUP
