La Estación del Norte fue una antigua estación de Madrid (España). Originalmente fueron construidas unas instalaciones provisionales en 1861 por la Compañía de los Caminos de Hierro del Norte de España, debido a la inauguración del Ferrocarril que iba desde Madrid a Irún. La Estación definitiva fue inaugurada en 1882, convirtiéndose en una de las más destacadas de la red de Norte como también de las estaciones de Madrid. Durante la Guerra Civil Española la cercanía del Frente la dejó aislada en Madrid, recibiendo numerosos impactos de artillería. Al final de la contienda se encontraba muy dañada y la quiebra de los Caminos de Hierro del Norte provocó que fuese integrada en RENFE. Tras la inauguración de la Estación de Chamartín comenzó su declive al ser traslado el tráfico ferroviario a la nueva Estación. En 1993 finalmente fue clausurada, siendo rehabilitada como un intercambiador y un Centro comercial y renombrada como Estación de Príncipe Pío.

The North Station was a former station of Madrid (Spain). Originally temporary facilities were built in 1861 by the Society of the Northern Railways in Spain, due to the opening of the railway that ran from Madrid to Irun. The final station was opened in 1882, making it one of the highlights of the North as well as network stations Madrid. During the Spanish Civil War closeness Front left isolated in Madrid, receiving numerous artillery impacts. At the end of the war was badly damaged and the collapse of Northern Railways was caused RENFE integrated. After the inauguration of the Chamartín station began its decline when rail traffic moving to the new station. In 1993 it was finally closed, being rehabilitated as an exchanger and a commercial center and renamed Principe Pio station.
