I have never seen anything like this, so can only guess as to what I am looking at, but it really doesn't matter. Wow! Frozen and turbulent drama, captured in glittering perfection. Wonderful. I love it.
Great to hear that, Ken. I hope the new title explains something.
My recent walk in a forest was was not very good exercise. Had to stop after every step and admire all the brilliant little sights.
Seems like a hibernating animal (badger) lies beneath the ice or maybe a woolly mammoth ~ :)))
I love the ice diamonds at the fringes of the opening ~ quite beautiful ~ YSL and apologies to any sleeping trolls ~ :)))
Thanks, Nick. Fantastic and imaginative comments. And true :)
I'm happy the mammoth or the troll didn't come to my mind there. Of course fierceful cross country running would have been excellent exercise.
...or cross country skiing?
Being a winter outdoors man myself, I know exactly what this is. Thats why I am indoors nice and warm looking at your pictures of the outdoors.

Keep your eyes open, J. The photo report comes when the spring has arrived.
I know you like it extreme, D (nice surprise, now I have two friends :) but skiing is not the best idea right now. This place is very much like Forest mayhem by Ken F plus one foot of snow on everything. And above all the temp is minus 20 degrees C.
Best wishes from Greece.
