Mt. Rainier as seen from Aberdeen, WA 100 miles to the east as the raven flies. The snow is slightly pink with alpenglow in this photo taken at about four in the afternoon. Oddly enough it was not raining.

I have been looking for your email to me, but can't seem to find it. The calendars are here, so send me a new email so I can mail you a calendar.

P.S. I always look for Mount Rainier when I cross the Simpson Ave. Bridge on clear days.

Hi Kira, Not much surprise that Rainier looks like St. Helens. They are both cut from the same cloth. St. Helens used to be visible from here, before it blew it's top. Now it lies below the horizon, about 120 miles to the east.

Oh, yes, I know, I've spent my life in Pierce county, snapping at that mighty goddess. (I'd link this great shot I got of her once but this thing is messing with me today :P) I've spent a lot of time in Grays Harbor county too coincidently :) Hard to believe it's been 33 years this may since St Helen's blew. I guess things like that never seem as far away as they are.
