This area of Lake View Cemetery mostly held the remains of the very prominent Hale family of South Haven. The were dry goods merchants who operated their family business in downtown South Haven for 154 years, through 5 generations of the Hale family. They finally closed their doors in September 2009, a victim of the bad economy.
