Um dos momentos altos das festas de São Gonçalinho acontece quando centenas de devotos, que acham que as suas promessas foram atendidas, sobem ao alto da capela para atirar cavacas em direcção à multidão que as recolhem. É um dos momentos mais bonitos da festa, pois crianças e adultos divertem-se a apanhar as cavacas.
