I remember find such designs in the sand years ago in India. Except there they came from a nasty black quagmire behind the beach seeping thru the sand. But as here, the sand seems to make the patterns. Very nice. L 1 Fred

I've been staring at this for quite some time now, the curls and swirls they make such an interesting pattern. I can even see a face in it! Excellent find of this temporary art.

Another Eric once wisely said:

On sand, you can never be sure of anything. An ordinary shot can take a wicked deflection at the last moment.

Wish you well, Erik

I wish I had a time-lapse film of the creation of these sand designs, Erik. They are layered so intricately, often one design over another, creating the whole. This one intrigues me particularly. Thanks for the quote and pleasing comment with star - much appreciated. Warm best wishes (O:

Hi, Fred, and thank you - I think the trickles of run-off rain water create the patterns in the sand here. But it is amazing the pattern you can find in almost anything, when the light encourages it. Happy trails and travels (O:

It looks like a most beautiful bow on a chiffon ribbon dear Suzi. Maybe a mermaid is trailing it behind her. Had you taken a time lapse, you may have just caught her with your magic lens! ;-)

Warm hugs for Sunday, Amelia

It looks very mermaid raiment to me, dear Amelia - some dreamy garment. I'm working on the time-lapse idea - we've got lots more fine weather forecast, just when we're hoping we'll finally get a big storm blowing through :) It has been a very quiet winter so far - probably should count our blessings. Best happy wishes and thanks and hugs (O:
