This must be perfect timing! For how many days each year can the falls be seen in this light?
Awesome! It's like a river of liquid gold or lava :-)

Hi Jeff! A very great shot! A very nice place in the nature! greetings from Thuringia, Andreas!
Snamann, Thanks, this lighting is best during the last two weeks of February, when it is not snwoing, and when there is enough water flowing over this waterfall. In theory you could catch this in the Fall as well, but it rarely has any water flowing at that time.
tempestlight - Yes, if you look at the large view at the top of the falls you can see arock formation that I called "Lava Man". It looks like a giant is climbing up next over the top of El Capitan, next to a stream of molten lava.
wssnwhttr - If you return next March (or better yet the last two weeks of February), look for this from the South Park Road turnouts near Cathedral Beach. You'll see lots of cars. ;>)
ULISES888 - Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Amazing shot Jeff... I can`t understand yet how that waterfall can shine in that way... It looks like liquid gold... It's amazing.
