What a very columnar shot it is indeed. I'd be interested in trying a moving panorama here to try to avoid the parallax issues with the windows.
Did you take this in 1931 or was it built in 1931 (the later I am guessing).
Definitely taken on a warm day, so not entirely fresh. Really wonderful shot, Sixten.
I tried doing a stitched mosaic once and eventually got the software (hugin) to cooperate. But I like the parallax in this shot. It reinforces my perception of symmetry.
Thanks for the constructive comments, David and Ken. I have heard about strange gadgets and funny lenses but admit that my only technique in the architectural photography is the "Hey, there's a house. I snap a photo of it!"
Here I tried to make a ruler that would show the scale of the building. Like usually the whole idea appeared in front of the computer. So all there was to do was to dream of last summer plus try to twist and turn all those awfully meandering lines in this single frame.
