That's a very rich B&W Jeff - something I never thought I'd say.

This works really well in black and white, lovely contrast. That old Sony still does good work.

Best wishes from a cold North Carolina

My little Sony is a real trooper. Always there when I need it.

I have been struggling trying to make B&W prints without much success. I have been following some pointers received on a photo forum and am starting to get some respectable electronic images, but prints that satisfy still elude me. Perhaps I really do need silver to get the tone and range.

But still I soldier on (and it;s fun)!!

Thanks Jethro

Hi Jeff, i clicked on your link fully expecting a snow, i've not been out either;-)) However i think this is a nice B&W picture, clean and sharp and as Jethro said, lovely contrast.

Thanks Neil.
I have always been a fan of B&W but it has gone on the back burner in this digital age. It was only when I was looking through a recently discovered box of my own photos from the seventies (Olympus OM2)that I realised I probably couldn't do prints of this quality any more.
So my challenge was on. I know it certainly can be done because I've seen some at a gallery.
I may put up some on Pano, but not a lot as it is very much a niche market which most people don't share.

Cheers from Cheshire
