For some reason, this reminds me of blank musical staves with a shadow across them. In the title there's also the pun on ... no, I'll leave you to suss that one out ;)

Great abstract capture Mark. The points of the shadows lining up with the horizontal lines mean you hit this one at the right second. If timing is everything then I'd say this is spot-on.

Thanks again Tom... no timing or tricks, the shadow was a handrail cast against the steps - that's where the kinks came from.

Neim, Marek, Jadransko and Cheryl - thank you all so much - I didn't think there would be many people who would like such an abstract image :)

This really a great shot!

...and Tom is right, if you had not to wait for optimum position of the shadow, you were with luck at the right time. An hour earlier or later and the zig-zag of the shadow is on the steps and not at the corners.

sorry for my English

Aah, no - it's an optical illusion - sort of... The handrail's shadow would be straight if it was cast against a flat surface (a ramp, say) instead of steps.

Cheers, Mark
