Fantastic composition Marilyn. All elements of this image work in harmony. And the tree is the "pièce de résistance" giving the shot a little softness to balance the rock. Well done. Do I see buds on the tree at the very top?
That's indeed a wonderful picture, Marilyn! The rock is very impressing and I also like the tree in the foreground! Greetings, Anne
Wonderful composition in this one Marilyn.!!
And a beautiful upload.
Thanks for your comments, Tom, Anne, and Luud. I was so intrigued by this light, colourless tree that I struggled past some bushes with long, sharp thorns to get the composition I wanted. I'm glad you think it was worthwhile! Greetings, Marilyn
It was well worth the discomfort Marilyn. A beauty shot!... Anita
Thanks, Anita. I was careful mainly because I travel as light as possible, and don't bring more clothes than I expect to need! Marilyn
I see what you mean, you could have ended up looking like a prickly pear...:0) Anita
I am enjoying your holiday, Marilyn...your stories and your photography, too. Thanks for uploading as you go!! Ian
It's good to hear from you, Ian. We're having an excellent trip. I brought my laptop along and we've been fortunate to have wireless internet at many places along the way. (In South America we'll have to rely on internet cafes, and I won't have a chance to edit photos on the computer. I'm getting spoiled on this trip!) Marilyn
Dear Marilyn, thank you for wonderful pictures and colourful excursion to Canyon. Best wishes. Eva
Thank you so much, Eva, for your visit and your comments. It is a privilege and a wonderful experience to visit these fascinating places. Best wishes, Marilyn
Scratches last but a few days; that image will stay with you always. Facinating place, well captured.
That's a photographer's philosophy, Keith! Thanks for your visit.
Marilyn, this looks familiar to me and indeed very nice and fascinating. Ciao. Andrea
The ghostly tree surprised me. I am glad you like this too. Greetings, Marilyn
A very good capture of one of my favorite canyons. Greetings, Paul.
