Great, so peaceful what a rest! very nice shot Tony! greetings from Thailand Michel.
Yes Michel, it is very peaceful. It is a long way from anywhere else too! If you look at the map to the right, you'll see no other buildings.
The Chatham Islands are quite remote.
Hi Tony, last port for the Volvo Ocean sailors! What a space. Did you have enough patrol:) Great shot! Thank you for showing. Greetings, Jan
It isn't the last port but it is when they have bad luck with their ship.
Thank you for visiting my Chatham Island shots jan. This location is quite remote, but a great place for stranded sailors to stop at.

If you want to be alone, this is the place to be, Kostas. I drove around he island on my own. It was a good experience.
It looks exposed in the extreme, like the Subantarctic Islands. None of the forest that occurs on Chatham Island.
Vast swathes of the Island looks like this, tanetahi. Where adequate fencing has been established, natural forest has regrown, like this shot at the JM Barker Hapupu reserve.
