La Casa del Alfarero (Casa Chichi). This pottery shop has open door policy, you can watch the earthenware pots being thrown and glazed, and of course you can also buy the pottery. The Santander family is again running the pottery, after years of state run shop. The pots are very decorative, colourful and many feature intricate carving. Dedicated to all my Pano ladies friends. I would post my own half naked portrait, but my best years are long gone....;-)

The potters are very interested to talk to tourist and ask for T-shirt or really anything. They would give you a little present to engage you and expect big reward for their generosity.

I know what you mean about expecting things of value from you, have come across this myself all too often. Did you try telling them that possessions won't make them happy? Of course you really have to believe that before you say it :)

Tomros on February 10, 2013

No, I did not try to convince them. It is too early for that. I wanted to have certain stuff as a teen, but did not lose my dignity to get them. I did not have much dignity to lose...;-

If I was a girl, and wanted to be up-to-date, who knows what I would be capable to do...

Christian, all potters look like this! right?

I think this guy was there just as a decoration for female tourists!

He did not throw a pot in the 15 minutes, I was there.
