Ring Necked Pheasant. James Brennan Molokai Hawaii. King Kamehameha V requested beautiful flora and fauna be brought to Hawaii for aesthetic purposes. Pheasants were sent from Asia to Hawaii in 1866. This beautiful male pheasant was found in the underbrush of Haleakala National Park.
