The 'Bösebrücke' named after Wilhelm Böse - a resistance fighter against the Nazi regime - was the first riveted steel bridge constructed in Berlin. This bridge was a border cross between West Berlin and East Berlin from 1961 to 1989. On 9 November 1989, the day that the Berlin Wall fell, this border cross was the first transition in East Berlin to be opened for GDR citizens. In the song Where are we now? which was released 2 weeks ago by David Bowie, there's a reference to this Bridge on the minute 1:46. Source
