The Greyhound with the Castle at the rear

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The village is one of the most beautiful in England, fashioned out of Purbeck Stone and nestling under the dramatic ruins of Corfe Castle. The village is set out around a medieval common “the Halves” and is bounded by Corfe Common and the Purbeck Hills. The ruined Castle is one of the most loved in England and offers spectacular views. The National Trust has a yearlong programme of events from outdoor plays to medieval encampments and battles with Vikings.

Could be mistaken for summer Gordon! Lovely shot and the pub and village in many Thomas Hardy films and TV series. Like. Regards, Rosa.
