They are lime kilns Kenny, I saw what looks like a hearth in the left hand side one so i had a trawl around. **HUMSHAUGH B 6320 (West side) NY 9171 NY 91327138 12/218 Limekiln 30 metres north of junction with road to Lincoln Hill

Limekiln, probably early C19. Coursed roughly-squared stone. Pair of gable- headed drawing arches, corbelled down to small square eyes.

Thanks Neil

Top marks for using listedbuildings website.. I have used the site before but never thought this would be a listed building!!! If I am ever up that way again I will have a root round inside and take some close-ups.

Now I am off to research lime kilns, I love Pano for stimulating the mind.

Regards

Kenny
