Construction preparations of this cable-stayed bridge began in 1989, but was completed in 2002 due to the Serbo-Montenegrin
invasive attacks, 1991-1995. Was built in 3.5 years, 518 m long, the longest span 304.5 m, 14.2 m wide, 50.3 m high, eastern
pylon 141.5 m high. Cable-stayed bridge was invented (16th century) by Croatian polymath (linguist, inventor, diplomat,
engineer, priest) and bishop Faust Vrančić (Fausto Veranzio, Faustus Verantius, Verancsics Faustus).
