Hi Ian!!! I now understand better when you last night told me that the river was very close!!! I was looking at every corner of the Yabba river from Google Earth, I know where I'm going to drop my lure, not will be necessary walk a lot for it :))!!! Hopefully we can sail together before the lakes of Patagonia with my boat. Anyway that's not important, we all know that "the order of the factors does not change the result"!!! After our talk I think more than a dream our meeting will be a matter of time!!!
Have a good night, Toto
January and February can be a bit wet, Toto. The river in flood is quite an impressive event, but it is good for the health of the river. The 2013 flood was the 3rd highest known here (1. 1893, 2. 1955, 3. 2013, 4. 1999).
There are plenty of places to drop your lure in the Yabba, including in Lake Borumba. Just below the Borumba Dam wall is popular with some fishermen, but there are other spots that are special. Yellowbelly, saratoga, bass, and perch are some of the fish in the Yabba. Then there are also the protected species: Ceratodus and Mary River cod.
But apart from the Yabba, a fishing trip to Fraser Island is most worthwhile and a must do when you come!
And I must purchase a blue and white flag this week... before we Skype again!
Upsss... I see that was a great flood. The river water is clearer when the river level is normal? The fish species in the Yabba river are many, that sounds interesting!!! Here also protect some species, especially the different types of trout. Today I read a lot about fishing in Fraser Island, famous place, and very beautiful indeed. You also live in an wonderful area of the world, we are very lucky, right?
You are a very special and very friendly dear Ian, it will be my honor to see our flag in his library, next to the other three, thanks!!! If you cannot find a Argentina flag please let me know, I can send one from here!!!
Otro abrazo grande para usted, Toto
To know that you have been reading up on Fraser Island fishing delights me, Toto, for it hopefully is whetting your appetite for a flight across the Pacific.
The Yabba is a very attractive stream when not in flood, Toto, and I am sure we can enjoy some wonderful picnics and fishing times along reaches like this.
I am in Sydney at the moment, and if I can get to a flag shop I will buy a special flag for my study!
