And the cattle kept on grazing....though the river (beyond the trees) has overflowed and is flowing through the flood channel as well.

Looks so peaceful again Ian, a beautiful place to live. LIKE! Greetings Berend

Greetings Berend.

With the trees hiding the river from view, and the high ground in the foreground hiding half the flood channel, it doesn't seem very dramatic at all here. But, this was taken about the time of the flood peak. Looking at the previous photo taken at the same time, but looking downstream where the channel and the main course of the river come together, one gets the impression of the speed and scale of the flood.

This rustic scene does seem so peaceful, and the country is a beautiful area of the world. I love it.

Regards,

Ian

Thank you Richard. This is taken from my home looking across the fence. It may seem a serene scene, but that brown water is a major flood flowing by at high speed - the main river is behind the line of dark green trees.

Greetings from Australia

Now I understand even more Ian, I can even see the fog... and cows... and some eucalyptus? There are koalas in Imbil? I really like this picture pretty much sums up the talk last night!!!

A big "abrazo", Toto

Imbil and the world of eastern Australia awaits you, Toto. Yes there are koalas in Imbil, and wallabies, platypus, echidnas, and a myriad of birds. Along with Araucaria and Eucalyptus.

And in this latest version of Google Earth imagery, my new home now appears, even though the driveway and parking area and landscaping were yet to be completed. We have been living in our new home for about 8 months now...

I live in expectation that you may experience all this.... and more, far more.

I could see, from GE, his new home, it is amazing how technology allows us to approach even when we were so far!!! Juliet says you are very lucky to live close to koalas!!! Thanks Ian for the information, hopefully one day we can fulfill the dream!!!

Have a good day, Toto

Dear Toto,

When you can see the solar panels and the solar hotwater system on the roof, the nut tree (macadamia) in my back garden, and the construction of my driveway and carpark underway on GE and talk to the cows in the paddock next door, then you are almost here! But what remains os for Juliet and your princess to hold a koala in their arms! .. and for you to use your lure in the Yabba and catch a basket of fish on the ocean beach of Fraser Island. That's the dream!

Ian
