I was surprised at the amount of varied shops there. Talking to the woman in the vintage shop, it is a village not a town and it certainly does retain that feeling. Cheers, Rosa.

Very typical English photo, and the sunshine is just perfect. I like2 it a lot.

Greetings from Sweden, Leif.

I didn't like the Stones much in the 60's Ian, too grungy for me. I can appreciate their early music now though. Chris Jagger lives in the Glastonbury area somewhere. The pub was very nice, with a warm roaring fire inside, much appreciated by my daughters dog :-)

Leif Fielstrup Guldb…

Thank you Leif. It is interesting to know what others think is typically English. If it has an old pub in the picture, you are probably right :-) Cheers, Rosa.

Sehr schön Rosa und eine Gute Erklärung, auch die rote Telefonzelle macht sich sehr gut in dem Bild, Like viele Grüße Jutta

Rosalyn Hilborne on February 4, 2013

Thank you Jutta. The red telephone boxes always add colour to a picture. Most villages still have them in this area. Best wishes, Rosa.

I'm sure you were never sad Richard! My daughter liked Nat King Cole when she was ten and she's in the music business now. Thanks for your like. Best wishes, Rosa.

Yes, that's what Leif said. I think the British pub is quite unique. We have one near us that has comedy nights once a month :)

All the best, Rosa.

Oh memories galore, have had a few pints in this old pub, looks a lot smarter now than it did in the 60/70's

Thanks for the memory Rosa

Best wishes. Gordon

I think it has been what they call 'sympathetically restored'! Always pleased to bring back good memories. Best wishes, Rosa.
