The Last One in Bristol ?

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This piece of street furniture is often mistaken for the remains of a decorative street lamp, it is in fact the remains of a stanchion (tram pole) which supported the electric cables which powered the tramcars of Bristol. The building in the background is Brunels original Temple Meads Station.

Thanks for the like Bob, The old station is a beautiful but much neglected building, fortunately Bristol council are about to invest £1.5 million on a refurbishment.
