Nice picture JT, I've noticed though that the top right 2/3's of the picture is amazing on it's own! I really hope you don't mind me pointing that out, i welcome constructive critisism, but have received none to date, i sort of understand why now, lol I've been thinking of starting a group where people can ask permission to edit friends pictures of the group if they see a better composition or just imagine it in a different way, they'd have to be strict rules about the original artists ownership though, but it would be a great group if it could work.
Hi Darrell. I do not mind at all the suggestion. In fact, I struggled for probably a 1/2 hour cropping and re-cropping this photo. The story behind the photo is that I took this from a high-rise condo across the street from the lake in the photo. I had been planning this sunrise shot from the 7th floor patio for probably 6 weeks and I finally got a chance to get there for the shot. HOWEVER, when I got there, the area of the patio that overlooks the lake directly was blocked off so I had to settle for where I took the photo which included that hideous rooftop in the foreground. So I spent about a 1/2 hour trying to minimize the rooftop's distraction. I think it is highly perceptive of you to pick up on the fact that I was much less than satified with the result. Can you send me a private message and email me your edited version of the photo. I agree that losing the left side of the photo makes the photo much more dramatic but I am undecided how high to crop. Thanks again for taking the time and providing the suggestion. Look forward to hearing from you. Regards, JT.
