Horseshoe Falls. Mt Field National Park.
Great title for this beautiful place & photo, Gary! Like
Thanks Marlene, I was rapt when I saw this one on my computer screen after taking heaps of photos on Friday. Glad you like it and hi from Hobart. cheers Gary
Good title Gaz, a must see.. WHats the weather like in October usualy?
October in Tassie can be fickle. From freezing cold to hot as Haidies. And windy!! So in summary its an unsettled month. Many visitors to Tassie will tell you that sounds like any time of the year and to some extent that it true. Today I feel sunburnt on the face, but I had a very thin wind jacket on, as out of the sun it was cool to cold. You really need to make sure you have a nice jacket as well as shorts, 'cause you'll probably wear both whilst you're here. The weather bureau site is certainly a place most Tasmanians keep an eye on ;-|
Cheers, I have the Bom website in my I-pad & pc.. it will get a fair work out in the lead up to our cross continent sojourn.. Last time up Mt Wellington we both froze, got wet, a wild tassie creature snarled at us, then got hot on the way down... I have an infamous 3 moon photo from the lookout out overlooking Hobart... :-))
Beautiful picture ,composition and natural place
Hi Gary* From the group A1- Unique Australia. fairytale like photo in best picture quality. Thats how the bush looked like when I was working in Gowrie Park for the Hydro Electric in 1964. Thanks for the memory L*.
Lots of places around Gowrie Park like this Ebi. There's a town that doesn't exist anymore. Used to have a Commonwealth Bank and all! Glad it's invoked a few good memories of Tasmania for you. And thanks JC for your comments and like too. Hi from Hobart. regards Gary
Just beautiful Gary. Picture-post-card image. Lk it. Regards, Jock.
Thanks *Jock * for the lovely compliment. A natural bush setting that was easy on the eyes to photograph :-)
Amazing scenery and like out of a fantasy movie ( such as Lord of the rings )Fabulous photo with wonderful atmopshere, YSL again

best wishes Karin
The angle of this photo makes this photo I've got to say Karin, cause in reality, its probably just another water fall in the the forests of Tasmania. The man fern in the right and the sun filtering thru it, certainly helped to give it that fantasy feel. I was rapt when I first saw the outcome on my computer's big screen without trying to pat myself on the back or anything. maybe surprise is a better word :-). Thank you so much for the YSL. cheers Gary
Hi Stuart. Wow, thats some praise. Thank you. Also very happy to be in invited into your groups. Thank you for that. cheers Gary
Beautiful place Gary. I love the colours you got into this one....it has a lovely surreal quality.
Thanks Pam,I always appreciate your comments. Just waiting for the leprechauns to appear any minute :-)
Apologies Gary for not doing that sooner. It was always in my mind but there's not a lot of room in there these days for retention.... :)
No apologies needed Stuart. All good:-)
