Thanks kindly Carter. Buttresses are there to support the high walls. I love the look of them. I think they are on this building as much for decoration as strength, although those large windows would definitely weaken the walls. It's great the way so many small churches have that sort of effort put into them.

This reminds me a little of the red brick church in Brunswick, Jock...although that one is more diminutive.
