Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

After a day spent dive-bombing pedestrians, decorating cars, and dropping seashells on the seafront promenade to get at the insides, a quartet of seagulls recover from their labours on a jetty. This is a derivative work of:

Seagulls on a Dover Harbour Jetty at Sunset, England, United Kingdom

The seagulls are probably herring gulls or slightly smaller common gulls.

Above and behind the white-layered building of Channel Houses near top-right are the Western Heights and tip of the distant Shakespeare Cliff. On the beach below the building (and much nearer) are the sloping roofs of the Sea Sports Centre, Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurant and Bar, and adjacent West Promenade Kiosk.

On the other side of Marine Parade and Esplanade, behind and to the right of the sports centre, are masts of boats and yachts moored in Wellington Dock of Dover Marina. On the far right of the photo are three light towers of the Tonkin Liu artwork.
