Round Towers of Lusk

The most beautiful land mark of my village, the Round Towers. The original (far left) was built in the 6th century. A square tower with another three round towers at its coners were built in the 15th-16th century. In addition to that, there is a 19th century church attached to them (at the rear). Lusk Community council manages the recently restored church for community and cultural events.

Gracias Rodrigo por mandarme directamente a este bello edifico de un gótico tardío aunque las torres redondas son más propias del románico francés de época Carolingia como estas. La iglesia está muy bien armonizada con el primitivo conjunto. Tienes fotos muy interesantes y habré de volver, por ello te incluyo como favorito.

El primer monasterio se establecio en Lusk en el siglo VI con la torre principal, luego se añadieron las otras torres e iglesia.
