Wow, these colors are very different from your other pure white photos from this area. The shadows are so much softer, and the yellow and blue go together really well. It must be truly fascinating to watch the light and colors change throughout the day here.

Thanks, Ryan. The best time to shoot here is definitely at dawn, right when the park opens. The light is much more interesting early, and the wind really tends to pick up by 11:00 or so. It is a very interesting place, but I think it would probably be quite intolerably hot on a warm day. I had to spend some time working on the Playa of the White Sands Missile Range and could tell it would be brutal in a few weeks.
