simply beautiful! it reminds me of your marvelous yellow dune... panoramio doesn't communicate any longer about my favs uploads, but i'll try to keep myself "updated":) Yellow star, I really love it. Cheers, JJ

Thanks JJ. I am actually surprised by your response to this one. It is simple but lacks colour, so I hadn't uploaded it, though I personally enjoyed taking it. I imagined this as one to accompany the bigger landscapes, like the one you refer to. But now Panoramio friends have invited such images by their affirming appreciation.

So thanks very very much.

Why are you surprised, Ian??? So far you should know that I like beauty:) and beauty is harmony, balance, serenity, elegance...mistery (this photo continuosly invites to turn it upside down!)... and this photo is full of them, plus so many shades of grey, pink, ocher... the black diagonal stroke of the weed breaking the vertical pattern...: a perfect example of beauty.....!!

Hi dear brother Ian, I 100% agree with JJ. This is the perfect style of your very graphic and simple shots that I prefer! This is your best of this serie; symetry broken by a simple black stick. Excellent :-) YS Annick

OK,OK,OK! I accept your encouraging evaluations. And 3 YS!!!

I took this in 2006, on my one holiday on Fraser Island - a holiday my wife gave me for a milestone birthday (21, I think). I didn't upload it with others from that time, partly because it wasn't a landscape, but partly as I didn't think it would be appreciated by most, but I do admit that I enjoyed creating it. It appeals to me, and I am now so excited that you all appreciate it. It now feels like a continuation of the joy of that birthday holiday. Thank you oronbb. Thankyou Jacques, for you are an expert on sand photography. Thankyou, lovely Sister Annick. And thanks to our special artist friend, Juan José.

Humbly, Ian
