A real gem, this one, Rich! Incredible colors and you can see so incredibly far into the distance. Wonderful.

Greetings from Holland, Justin

Greetings Justin, Thanks for visiting and your wonderful comments. The low angle of the sun does not cause the haze to cover everything so you can see many miles, mostly to the south. The area is beautiful.

Greetings Fred, Thanks for visiting and commenting. I had three days in the canyonlands and this was my first stop. The sunrise was spectacular and the scenery perfect. What a way to start the day.

Greetings Glorieta, Thanks so much for visiting and being adventurous to go back into the gallery so far! Ah, what fun I had at Dead Horse Point. I still remember getting there about midnight and sharing the campground and all the stars in the sky with one other car. And on the rim there were two other fellow photographers with headlamps walking about waiting for the sunrise and the beautiful revelation of the canyon far below us. Thanks for stirring those memories.

Hello Rich, you sure had a splendid view here (and a great time). Did you have to climb far to get here, or is the place accessible by car? Though it would be worth a long hike to see all this. Beautiful. Best wishes, susan

Richard Ryer on July 22, 2009

Greetings Susan, There is very little hiking to be done to get such wonderous pictures. There are many pull outs for the car and you can shoot to your heart's content.
