Anuak village - shifting cultivation

Decorative patterning on the pot contains the letters E-T-I-M-E ; several huts and enclosures at the site were abandoned in favour of a spot further down along the Geba River - presumably due to shifting agriculture - area mainly inhabited by Anuak and Majongir (red on right is worn by Ethiopian personnel of Gore-Gambela Geotraverse funded by IDRC in Ottawa and partly UNESCO ).
