Hi Eva. It does look strange. A 'ford' is a place where a small river can be crossed in a car but you still need a small bridge so walkers can cross without getting their feet wet! People do live nearby but there is not much traffic. I was able to stop in my car (not a Ford!) and take the picture through the open window so you can just see the underside of the bridge.
