Stunning Peakwalker, Last time I was here Bill I was taking some people up to see the views from Higher Shelf stones (you could only see 50 feet in front of you!) I was so pleased to see this come into view, within 10 mins of being here the mist had cleared and the people I was with said the views back down from Torside made up for it. Just goes to prove it can be a beautiful place and a dangerous one too all in the same day!

had similar experience Rae, the post appeared out of the gloom and the weather got worse, had to return the same way down the pennine way, then to lady clough, on this solo walk. "7.30am start" enjoyed it ;))
