M-60 A-1 or A-2 I think.

M60A3 105mm gun tank because the octogonal rubber pads in their tracks, and the attachment for the smoke grenades in the turret side. The A1 and A3 models were very similar, but the A2 was a misile armed version with a low profile turret and a very short gun, this is not M60A2.

best regards

Modelarmor Thank you for all the info. I'll revise the title of this pic, but it may take G-E some time (weeks or months) to update their database. Max

Modelarmor, you might be interested in the pictures I took last year at a military vehicle museum in Nebraska and also of artillery pieces at Fort Sill in Oklahoma - including the atomic cannon last week.

This is definitely an M60A1. An M60A3 has a thermal shroud around the main gun. An M60A3 will have a mast for the cross-wind sensor on the back of the turret. An M60A3 normally does not have a searchlight mount because with TTS the searchlight was not needed. This type track, T-142, replaced the older T-97 track and was used on all M60 series vehicles as well as the M48A5.
