Hi Chris!
Its a better view from a plane but it looks a bit "Atomic" to me....
Fine shot nevertheless!

Hi Ed,
It does have an atomic look. Only a person who grew up during the Cold War would notice this. It's what I thought when I took it. This image was what I thought of when I had to hide under my desk in bombing drills in grade school.
Happy Easter!
Chris

Chris, great shot of the storm rising. If you take shots through plane glass it is a good idea to correct the tonal values afterwards, as the multilayer glass dampens some colours, etc. Did you really have bombing drills during the Cold War? Kasia

Chris, I uploaded a favourite of mine taken not long after leaving Atlanta flying west - in your honour as it were;-) The only processing was correcting tonal value (I hope that is what is called in English). Kasia

Hi Kasia,
I didn't read the first comment, so I hope you didn't think that I ignored your question. When I "developed" this photo was on iPhoto, I've only recently learned Adobe Lightroom, some glitches in the new Beta version by thw way. I am just learning Photoshop, so I am a novice. I did not know to correct the tonal value when photographing through airplane windows. Is it only airplane windows or all glass that would need tonal vs corrections? And ha-ha yes we actually did during the Cold War. The last H-bomb drills I remember was when I was in 2nd grade. A particular bell was sounded and we had to crouch, cover our faces alongside our desks. I went to Catholic school, not sure what year the US's public schools stopped the drills. I imagine that the Catholics held onto it longer.
Cheers from Brooklyn,
Chris
