... from the brand new designer sunglass collection spring 2013: No matter which colour you choose this style is designed to flatter. This exquisite frame looks retro, but still very feminine ...(thank you Rabauli) any orders please get in touch with Rabauli. - Galápagos- 1967

When the ancestors of swallow-tailed gulls started nesting on the Galapagos instead of returning to the North, they probably suffered heavily from frigatebirds, so they became the most nocturnal of all gulls. They developed some interesting adaptations to nocturnal lifestyle: in addition to large, very light-sensitive eyes, they have red eyering, which supposedly improves their ability to see bioluminescence. It is believed that the white bill tip helps the chick find the source of food when its parents return from the sea at night.

Bestellungen - mein Telefon läuft schon heiß ... seufz ... die Swallow-Tailed-Gull-Ladies rufen in einer Tour hier an ... dann müssen wir uns wohl langsam mal ans Produzieren machen.

Ja, ich mach gern mal die Werbetexterin. ;-)

Ich hoffe die rote Farbe reicht! O.K. Angestellt!

Dear Eva! This is a very, very beautiful portrait of an interesting, and seemingly, rare bird. Thank you also very much for this educational photo description! Those eyes really look like designer sunglasses! Many friendly greetings! Anton Trötscher

Anton Trötscher Thank YOU for reading my comments. All about the Galapagos is so interesting. Even the sea lions there are special... and of course the land and marine iguanas too. I was sorry we didn´t see more of the special birds there.

Anton Trötscher on March 9, 2013

Dear Eva! Yes, the Galapagos Islands, more specifically, the bird life in the islands, were a great deal responsible for Charles Darwin to arrive at his theories! He discovered in particular that the Galapagos finches had been "tool makers". Also, the different shapes of their beaks found his interest. All together, the Galapagos Islands are, and everything on them is, as you say, very, very interesting! Many thanks and very best wishes! Anton Trötscher

Because of Darwin, I got to know Capt. Villeirs and the Nat. Geogr. photographer James L.Stanfield. That was for me quite an experience too.

Bist Du die Selbe? Möchte nicht dass unsere Bestellungen an den falschen Mann(Frau) gehen!

Hannes Th. on March 10, 2013

Toller Schuss! eva Leider gibt es bei uns nicht so viele Modebewusste Vögel die mit Sonnenbrille daherkommen :-) MFG Hannes

Peter van Lom on March 10, 2013

Like: great photograph, greetings, Peter.

rabauli on March 10, 2013

Hannes Th. on March 10, 2013

So einen ähnlichen Vogel Habe Ich Auch Gesehen eva .Meiner sah aber Irgendwie etwa komisch aus :-) MFG Hannes

Eva Lewitus on March 10, 2013

Lomno, Thank you rabauli passt Dir gut, fast so gut wie den Galapagos Möven. Hannes Prima!Aber sie rutsch von der Nase... nicht sehr bequem. Gibts eine verbesserte Weise? Melde sie bitte bei rabauli an.
♥ Eva
