Yes, Steve a very sudden severe pain one morning when putting foot to floor...Ya know! I might could do the M J Moon Walk..:)) You cannot see me doing that??.. Why, you man of little faith:))I surely can! HAHA but not in this thing!! But, Yes-sir-ree!! It is handy in getting what I want done:)) Grapes, drinks, snacks etc.. so at least some advantages with this lovely boot:) the disadvantage is wearing a shoe on the other foot and puts me at the same height as this boot, to keep my back in balance...so the same shoe, worn now ALL THE TIME, on the right foot, except when the boot is removed to rest or walking short distances in the house... thanks for the good wishes, hope you are right with that wish...

Hello! from the Moon:) ~~Sarah~~ X

Hello dear Nick, that's so odd, when I was replying to Steve's comment, yours was not there:) but now after walking away for a short while yours has now arrived, and ON TOP of mine...they crossed in cyber space I suppose:) Thank you so much dear Nick, haha yep dancing over for awhile, but that mutual friend of ours thinks I couldn't do the moon walk in this contraption! He may be right! :) I may try and see!!:)) Your good wishes help with the situation for sure, thanks for that. Mr.O is a good "nurse" but he has a stomach virus at the moment and I may have to forget my moon walk and see about him! :) Its so good to see you drop by on this beautiful Sunday over here, lovely day, warm and sunny! Hugs to you too, Nick, and much appreciation! ~~Sarah~~

Hi Sarah. You need one for the other foot to have a matched pair. Not saying you need the pain, just to have the matching boot. And, yes it does look like a 'Moon' boot. Are you sure you're not really a female astronaut. 4-6 weeks sounds like it's going to be the 'pits'. I put that I Like the photo, not that I like that you have that thing on your foot.

And I mean this very seriously, 'GET BETTER SOON'.

Best wishes, Mike

Hi Sarah,

Really sorry to see that you are on the injured list. I hope it is not too serious, a work colleague was off for months with a similar injury. Good side is that you have an excuse to rest from housework for a long while!!

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery Peter

Sarah O on March 12, 2013

Hello Mike W..HAHA YEP! I need to rush out and get the other one for sure, as "Easter" is coming up and a woman has to have nice shoes for that day:)) well, as you see, I will have the "prettiest" shoe this year for Easter. Yes, at the Doc's office, they called this thing the moon boot, mike:) so Iam ready for "blast off" :)) the 4-6 weeks is going to be a long time, as this first week has gone at a snails pace, and its quite frustrating, buuut...you do what you have to do, right? I appreciate your good wishes Mike and thanks for dropping by before I take off for the Moon! :)

Hello Peter..nice to see you, thanks for your kind words..yes this kind of thing is common Ive been told, so I've joined the masses I suppose. Tho I have worn a boot several years ago when I broke my fight foot at a local restaurant (uneven walkway) yes the housework can wait, however, I don't just sit around ALL the time, I move about at will and I should, to get the exercise I need. Mr O is a great Nurse.
Thank you again Peter.

I appreciate both you guys coming by, great friends on pano and I thank you for that.

"moon walking"...~~Sarah~~

Sarah O on March 27

Hi Steve, thank you sooo much! Yep back in another type "support" .. My neck does have a "fracture" after Mr. O and I had to slam the car brakes to avoid hitting a stupid driver who pulled out right in front of us, never even slowing..My neck got the injury, MR O is OK...We did not hit him, but almost got to the edge of his dark grey paint job !! thanks for your best wishes.. I will see if I might post a shot of this new "necklace" I am now wearing.

warm greetings Steve, Sarah

Nick Weall on March 27

Oh dear ~ you & Mr O seem to be going through the wars together. I'm pleased to read that an accident was avoided but so sorry that your neck has taken such a bashing ~ Easter Hugs ~ nick

Sarah O on March 27

Hello Dear Nick....oh its great to see you. thanks for dropping by, Yep, another hurdle to get over. But I am OK Nick, must wear this lovely neck brace for some time, but not sure what the Orthopedic Doc will advice me on my appointment with him...its always great to see you. You friends over the pond are so special to me, always encouraging and there with your concern and thoughtfulness.

Easter hugs returned to you Nick. Sarah

Peter_private_box on March 28

Hi Sarah,

I too am sorry to hear of this unfortunate injury. Yes, you avoided hitting him (or her), but at such a great cost to yourselves. It does make you wonder... If you had hit him/her, and it was their fault, at least you could make some injury claim against them... None the less, most important is that you are at home and able to talk to us about it. Worse could have happened! Take some rest, and I wish you a speedy recovery!

Best Wishes Peter

Sarah O on March 28

Hello dear Peter... Aaaah Thank you so much!! so great to see you here, how thoughtful and kind of you for your good wishes. We are indeed very fortunate to have escaped with only my injury!! I will see an Orthopedic Doc as soon as they work me in for an appointment, very soon I hope, maybe tomorrow:)) James and I have discussed the "advantages" maybe if we HAD made the hit, and indeed that driver would have had to come up with the blame for this.. but we take things as they come, can't change these kinds of things...the collision may have been worse, especially for James, so we are just happy this turned out with only one of us injured. I am doing well, and am thankful!! (did you see the "tree train" in my gallery dedicated to you and 2 mutual friends?) Go see! :))

thank you so much Peter, Sarah
