Five-story Pagoda at Hōryū-ji Temple (法隆寺の五重塔)

The Five-story Pagoda of Hōryū-ji Temple, Nara prefecture. It is one of the oldest surviving wooden structures in the world (the supporting centre pillar is said to have been felled in 594). It stands at a height of 32.45 metres.

The Hōryū-ji Temple complex was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993.
