Winter is nearing its end, and so is the barn in this photograph taken a little less than four years earlier.
I see, it's near end but still doesn't go away.Same here, Marilyn. We are waiting snow for tomorrow.I hope is not true. The barn changed a bit. Cheers, Dany
Hi Marilyn -- good to see you are back getting more barn photos.
Hop that your snow departs soon, greetings from sunny, warm California, Bruce
Thanks, Dany and Bruce
Actually I don't mind snow in March. I figure that spring will come at about the same time whether the land is snow-covered or barren now, and what I do NOT like is the dull, drab season between when the snow melts and the world starts to turn green.
We drive past the barn fairly often, and so I have watched it deteriorate. But it's on a busy highway so we hadn't stopped for a photo. This was such a beautiful day that we turned onto a side road. Good view and no traffic!
I love those barns.
.... year after year, .... inevitable signs of decay
Many greetings, federico
Thank you, nik and frederico for your visits.
I am curious about whether this is simply decay or whether the barn boards are being removed. Some people use them for "rustic" furniture and other decorating projects.
Very beautiful photo, beautiful winter view and interesting old factory. LIKE. Kind regards and nice evening from the Czech Republic. Roman
Indeed, it is nearing it's final days, but still has a lot of life left in it yet. Look at what a thrilling shot it makes, drawing us in like a magnet. It's easy to see that this place was once a booming business. It's really a rather large barn compared to most of the ones around these parts, plus the two large silos as well. I wonder what all was stored here? The snow and the crisp, blue sky complete the scene in a most delightful way. I always enjoy your barns, Marilyn! It's a lovely shot indeed.
Cheerful greetings to you from Georgia tonight,
