Same as the green one, with its cylindrical tower ... Rather funny looking homes.. Not to say I wouldnt like to go exploring inside or graciously accept a free one.. :)
From what I've read, this design was popular in 1850-1900. Areas that were already heavily populated like the north eastern part of the U.S. have less of these style homes. Palestine was established in 1846 as the County Seat of the newly formed Anderson County. So I guess that explains the plethera of these homes being here.
What a beauty that is. I wouldn't like the upkeep on a place like this but geez they look great.
This has always been one of my favorites in town. Not near as big as some of the others but just as fancy. It is the only one in town with a big curved glass picture window in the lower part of the tower.

The houses add a nice touch of charm to our town.
